UL

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is an internationally recognized testing laboratory for North America with branch offices worldwide (including Europe), which tests and evaluates products and components with regard to their electrical safety, fire hazards and mechanical hazards in accordance with UL and CSA standards. With its certification mark, UL provides access to North American markets with a high level of name recognition for products, components, materials and systems, thus significantly increasing the market value of the respective product. Products bearing this mark are subject to constant production monitoring by the UL testing laboratory.

VDE

VDE is an accredited German testing and certification institute for the electrical safety of products. Headquartered in Offenbach, Germany, VDE tests electrical components and products in accordance with European (EN) and German (VDE) standards. In many industries (e.g. the white goods segment) the VDE mark enjoys a high level of familiarity and increases the market value of the respective product. Products bearing this mark are subject to production monitoring and are regularly tested.

CCC

The China Compulsory Certificate (CCC) is a mandatory, legally regulated Chinese certification overseen by the China Quality Certification Centre for standardizing product quality. Based on an official catalog drawn up by the authorities AQSIQ and CNCA, it affects defined product groups, which may only be imported into China if the product bears the CCC mark. During the course of the CCC certification process, product tests are carried out and production sites are inspected. Products bearing this mark are subject to production monitoring and are regularly tested.

CQC

The China Quality Certificate (CQC) is a voluntary product certification administered by the China Quality Certification Centre. This mark is used to verify conformity with Chinese standards and regulations relating to quality, safety, environment and performance. It may be requested for all products that are not subject to CCC certification. With this mark, the manufacturer guarantees that its product fulfills the corresponding Chinese quality requirements. Products bearing this mark are subject to production monitoring and are regularly tested.

NSF

NSF (formerly National Sanitation Foundation) is a recognized North American, public testing and certification organization that focuses on safety and protecting public health. It tests products, components and operating materials (e.g. oils, greases, lubricants and plastics), which come in direct contact with foodstuffs or their production during the course of their use. Products with an NSF certification are tested with regard to their hygienic harmlessness, thus ensuring that their use does not pose any health risks. Products bearing this mark are subject to production monitoring and are regularly tested.
